Thirty two million white men hold leadership jobs worldwide – seven million in North America. White guys wield influence beyond their proportion of the population, and past their percentage of the employee base in almost every organization.
Since the promise of inclusion means that everyone is in, we need a disciplined initiative to listen to white male leaders, whose normativity and position power is taken for granted even among many D&I professionals.
The 2012 Study established the first benchmarking database on white male leadership development. Organizations are now pursuing white male inclusion as an integral thread in their global strategy for diversity and inclusion.
